PSP investigating after woman bit by dog in parking lot of Somerset Co. shopping plaza

SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — State police in Somerset County are asking for the public's help in identifying the owners of a German Shepherd that reportedly attacked a 69-year-old woman in the parking lot of a local shopping plaza earlier this week.

Police say on Memorial Day, the victim was reportedly in the parking lot of the Label Shopper, located along North Center Ave., in Somerset Township, when she was "knocked down and bit" by a large dog.

Investigators say the victim suffered minor injuries in the attack and the owners of the dog reportedly left the scene before troopers arrived.

Police say surveillance video from the nearby Lowe's store showed the couple leaving with the dog.
