New coffee shop opening in downtown Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — A new coffee shop called, "The Write Cup Coffee Shop" is coming to Gazebo Park in Johnstown soon.

Denise Urban, the owner of "The Write Cup Coffee Shop" said, "I was itching to open another coffee shop."

The name was inspired by Urban's love of writing, especially with typewriters.

"I bought one typewriter, and I was hooked," Urban said. "I plan to have numerous typewriters around that you can look at, maybe one or two you can actually use, and of course we'll be selling the best coffee."

She said other than coffee, tea, bagels, paninis, and wraps are among items expected to be available.

On the upper floors of the shop, artist studios will be available 24/7 for people who sign up to be a member on madejohnstown.com. The studios will include photography equipment, kilns, and lasers.

The shop is expected to open in March.
