Ghost Town Trail challenge rescheduled for August

EBENSBURG, Pa (WJAC) — Organizers with the Cambria County Conservation & Recreation Authority (CCCRA) announced that the 5th annual Ghost Town Trail challenge has been rescheduled for August, according to a release.
The event was originally scheduled for June 20th, but will now be held on August 22nd, organizers say.
“Large scale events like this take months to prepare, and planning for an event in June has too many unknowns at this point in time,” said CCCRA Program Coordinator and race director Caytlin Lusk.
“We are hopeful that this new date will give us a better sense of security for our participants and the planning process.”
The Ghost Town Trail challenge lasts all day long and runners and hikers from across the country come to participate in the 32-mile event.
There is also a half-marathon (16-mile) and family-friendly event available.
“We are doing what we can at this time to make sure this works for everyone,” said CCCRA Executive Director, Cliff Kitner.
“Endurance runners and hikers come from across the country to participate, we just want to make sure everyone is safe.”
