Bill Cosby named in new sexual assault lawsuit

Comedian Bill Cosby is facing another sexual assault lawsuit.

On Thursday, Victoria Valentino filed a civil lawsuit alleging that Cosby drugged and then raped her at a dinner party in 1969.

Valentino filed the lawsuit under a new California law that gives people a three-year-window to file civil sexual assault lawsuits that would otherwise have a statute of limitations.

A representative for Cosby said Valentino’s claims are inconsistent and “without any proof or facts.”

The representative also called the new law “unconstitutional.”

Cosby's 2018 conviction on sexual assault charges was overturned in 2021 by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
