Authorities say a Berlin man is behind bars in Somerset County after he allegedly threatened to kill two local police officers and a district judge.

Police say on Friday, 44-year-old Christopher Moran allegedly stole an alcoholic drink from the Diamond Mini Mart in Berlin Borough.

Officials say when officers arrived at the scene, Moran allegedly resisted arrest and threatened to kill the two men.

He is also accused of spitting on one of the officers.

Police say that during Moran’s arraignment in Meyersdale, he flipped over a desk and again threatened to kill one of the officers and the judge.

He has been charged with several offenses, including multiple felonies for assault of a law enforcement officer.

He is being held in the Somerset County Jail.
